Thank you to everyone that attended Grand Junction’s first (and certainly not last) Picnic TweetUp over at Canyon View Park.
There were about 10-12 adults with 6-12 kids ( OK, so there were exactly 6 kids, but it seemed like more the way they ran around having fun!)
Topics were extremely casual, some were technology/twitter related, but a lot of it was just relaxing conversation, and a time to get to know each other on a more personal level.
Our hostess (whom we shall leave anonymous and nameless – for now!) was a tad bit late to the event… but we cut her some slack because she works the night shift at a nursing facility
We razed her a bit, as any good friends would do when she arrived.
We even had a special Tweep arrive all the way from Rifle ( Thanks @absynthefaerie ). We really look forward to seeing her again at future TweetUps! Really goes to show the strong bonds that can be formed from online connections.
As the sun set to the west, the moon came up from the east, and before we knew it the end of the party had arrived. It was another Twitter TweetUp Success!
Thanks to everyone that was able to make it, and feel free to join us on the next Grand Junction TweetUp!

Great post! I am just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case.
