Your business is no different. It doesn’t mean that you need to use 72 pt font screaming BUY ME! In fact, it should be really, really subtle (like the girl in the skirt, twirling her hair).

Customers don’t want to be sold. They want to be part of a group – a concept called social proof!
So give them an opportunity. An example? I just posted an article on my blog about holiday keywords. The last sentence left a slight suggestion about leaving a comment about their experiences with Google Trends for the next reader.
It gives them a slight feeling of power – like they are going to help someone else. In fact they are helping them. This is the viral nature of social proof. If someone else is doing it, so should I, and they join in.< .p>
