Eating Upside Down

Random fact: It is possible to eat upside down, because your esophagus has a peristaltic action that moves food along, whether you’re standing right side up, or upside down.

I learned this while in the fifth grade, and as I was leaning back on a yoga ball eating an orange, this random fact popped into my head.

I remember the teacher saying we wouldn’t try this experiment in case anyone choked, so I guess I’ll give you the same advice – try this at your own risk, but it seemed to work out OK for me.

This is from an older article, dated in 2009, but the principles still apply, and has 9 different ways to break down the URL. His specific purpose was to add conditional classes into the body() tag, but I’ll be using it as a way to grab the parent and grand-parent slug names.

December 19, 2011 — Space shuttle Atlantis, which only five months ago flew the final mission of NASA’s 30-year shuttle program, is now being prepared for its public display at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. Its insides being pulled out to ensure it is safe for exhibit, as well as significantly lighten it for its planned steep-angled display, Atlantis is scheduled to be powered down this week for the final time.
